David Morrison’s New Career

It is with mixed feelings that we announce that Dave Morrison is moving on from Living Turf.  Mixed because we will miss Dave's happy disposition, but pleased he is moving to an exciting industry role where he can further practise his craft. After 4 mutually rewarding years at Living Turf, Dave Morrison is joining the management team at Toowoomba Race Club.  This is an exciting challenge for Dave and one that he is passionate about pursuing.  We wish Dave all the very best of luck and we trust that Living Turf will go with Dave in his career to support,… ...Read More

Great success this season with EN’s for Argentine Stem Weevil control

The team at Living Turf has supported the use of EN’s (Entomopathogenic Nematodes) over the past 2 seasons and our customers are once again seeing excellent results using this strategy. See what they are saying…… “I was a little hesitant at the start to incorporate EN’s into my programme at Pambula-Merimbula Golf Club to target Argentine Stem Weevils. PMGC has had control issues with ASW for many years, even with an extended insecticide programme. Now our EN programme is in place I feel like we can push our greens to produce better surfaces and promote the bent grass population without… ...Read More

2016 Christmas Wishes

I want to take this opportunity to offer best wishes for the festive season, on behalf of the entire team at Living Turf. At first thought it feels like 2016 has just rushed by, but on further reflection I realise that we have achieved more than we could have hoped for.  Our highlights include the recruitment of Peter Woods to our Qld sales team, and Henk Smith to lead marketing and technical services.  Operationally, our Precision Turf® product application business has grown dramatically in size and sophistication as has the Turf Forensics® online suite of technical services.  From a product perspective, our… ...Read More

Plant Health, Root Development and Turf Stress

On a recent trip to Rutgers University in New Jersey, David and I met with Dr. Bingru Yuang, Professor II and Chair in Turfgrass Science at the Department of Plant Biology and Pathology. She is an expert on plant health and bio-stimulants with particular interest in stress management.  Many companies utilise her research program for independent testing of their products.  She was careful not to give away any secrets, but still shared a lot of good information with us.  Just a good conversation on what works, what doesn’t work and the best uses to benefit plant health. Here are some of the interesting discussion points in short… ...Read More
