Mark has worked in the turf and horticulture industry for 40 years specialising in high profile sand-based sporting fields. In 1978 Mark had his first stint at Bruce Stadium (now GIO STADIUM). Until 1994 at the Australian Institute of Sport, Mark successfully hosted World Cup Athletic, Country v City, international rugby union and soccer.

Establishing his own company, Stadium Turf Management in 1997, he took on high quality maintenance for the Australian War Memorial, Australian National University, GIO Stadium, Ainslie AFL Field and Canberra Raiders training centre. It was at GIO Stadium though that his expertise in sand-based venues really shone, hosting numerous major events (Rugby League World Cup and Asian Cup) and earning consistent accolades of the best surface – particularly during the Asian Cup. Mark joined Living Turf in 2018 bringing his specialist stadium expertise to the team.
