Living Turf is pleased to announce the appointment of Martin O’Malley, to the role of Technical Sales – Irrigation.
Widely recognised as an NSW based irrigation specialist, Martin will join Living Turf’s sales force, principally to provide expert advice, customer support and after sales service on the Rain Bird line of irrigation products.
Martin O’Malley is a country boy at heart, with a family property at Coolah, North West of Mudgee. He came to the city as a young bloke for work experience at Parramatta Stadium, and was inspired sufficiently to pursue a career at major NSW venues, including Muirfield, The Lakes and Riverside Oaks Golf Clubs. Martin’s crowning achievement, however, was his construction superintendency at Lynwood Golf Club. Along the way Martin has learnt from the best practitioners our local industry has produced, and that has developed a wide network of colleagues and contacts.
For the past 4 years Martin has worked as a technical irrigation specialist, and it is those skills that make him such a great fit for Living Turf. It is now 12 months since Living Turf joined forces with Rain Bird in Australian Golf Market, and the timing is perfect for Martin and his Living Turf colleagues, to take service and support of Rain Bird Golf Irrigation products to a new level.
“I have crossed paths many times with Living Turf throughout my career,” says Martin. “It has always impressed me that our shared clients always hold a healthy respect for the Living Turf business”.
Living Turf Managing Director Rob Cooper says, “this is a role we have strived to fill since becoming Rain Bird’s master distributor for golf products nationally. If we expect to be a real force in the irrigation sector, we need experts like Martin on our team.”
This targeted appointment continues the national rollout of Living Turf’s unique offer – which blends technology, product, irrigation, and agronomy expertise, to help green spaces flourish.
