In August 2021, Living Turf celebrate our 2nd anniversary as National Distributor for Rain Bird Golf Products.
First pitched as The Perfect Partnership (combining Irrigation + Agronomy), Living Turf set out to bring value to the Irrigation sector, determined not to be just another link in the supply chain. Now with Irrigation specialists embedded in every state, customers really are only a phone call away from Living Turf’s technical and sales support for Rain Bird Products and Technology.
The Western Australian market is supported by Living Turf Irrigation Specialist, Tyson Riley, who is a weapon when it comes to Rain Bird technology. A factory trained technician, Tyson is deeply connected to the irrigation supply chain throughout WA, and works closely with our agronomy sales team to represent the best interests of existing, new and future Rain Bird customers.
In South Australia & Northern Territory, Shane Carman is Tyson’s equivalent. A factory trained Rain Bird specialist, and a respected sales agronomist, Shane has combined with Daryl Sellar, and now Luke Clohesy, to be a shining example of The Perfect Partnership.
With Victoria being Living Turf’s Irrigation hub, Mac Ross (National Irrigation Manager) is the ‘go to guy’ for Rain Bird and irrigation in general. Working with our Victorian / Tasmanian Sales Agronomists (Mark Prosser, Tim Bilston, Matt McLeod, Adam Bell & Scott Fogg), Mac serves as first responder to Rain Bird enquiries, providing irrigation project expertise and customer support, and Living Turf’s National Irrigation Manager.
In New South Wales & Queensland, Martin O’Malley is tasked with representing Rain Bird Technology, promoting it, and partnering with existing distributors and installers. In addition, with Martin’s stellar CV as a turf manager, he works with our sales agronomy team to make sure our clients receive the best possible service, whether it be irrigation, nutrition, plant protection, or problem solving.
On this anniversary, General Manager of Rain Bird Australia, Guy Nicholls comments, “we have done a good thing for the turf industry by appointing Living Turf as the National Distributor for Rain Bird Golf Products. Irrigation and agronomy are such interrelated aspects of turf management, it just makes sense to link their sales, service and support”.
As Director of Living Turf, my view is “this venture would not have worked as well as it has without starting from a position of respect for the irrigation sector. The appointment of Mac Ross from the outset was critical. Mac has lead our irrigation business with certainty, insight and respect to the existing supply channel”.
